Beginners session from 7.15 to 8.00pm, intermediate from 8.15 to 9.00pm, advanced from 9.15 to 10.00pm, but you are welcome to stay as long as you like and enjoy the music and good company. Line dancing is a FUN way to keep fit for all ages. Come along and strut your stuff. If you've never danced before then the beginners session is just right for you!
Bury House Day Centre

Bury House is a Day Care Centre situated at Gosport Community Association. The Centre operates 5 days a week from 9.30am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday and there is a small cost for the day per person. The Day Centre is managed by Age Concern Hampshire and is staffed by a Manager, an Assistant Manager, Support Workers and 2 Escorts. Volunteers supply the remainder of the help. Social Services assess anyone wishing to attend. Transport is arranged and members are met by friendly Staff with a welcoming cup of tea and time chat. The day is structured to suit individual needs to include activities such as cards, dominoes, quizzes, speakers, etc. Monies are continually raised for the amenity fund to finance outings and entertainers.

The Gosport and District Organ Club meet at Gosport Community Association at 1.00pm on the second Wednesday of the month in the Thorngate Ballroom (Compton Organ). As well as normal club nights, we hold occasional Sunday concerts in association with the National Theatre Organ Club and Thursday lunchtime concerts by organists from the local area. Gosport Floral Art Club

The club is affiliated to Gosport Community Association and the National Association of Flower Arranging Societies (both Registered Charities) and is open to all those interested in the art of flower arranging. New or experienced members can take part in a varied and interesting programme including practice meetings, workshops and an annual show in the Thorngate Theatre. Visits by demonstrators are enjoyed throughout the year as well as social events.
Gosport Solent Brass Band

The Band was formed with amalgamation of two bands in the area - Gosport Silver Band and Solent Concert Brass in 2011. Both bands amalgamated to continue to provide a sound musical ensemble and to continue to promote Brass music within the local area. As well as performing at local concerts and fetes, the band will be moving forward into the contesting arena. Gosport Solent Brass are currently a fourth section brass band, and from the expert guidance of Royal Marine bandsman Richard Sharp, the band are looking to progress even further!
The Band rehearse in the Privett Suite at Gosport Community Association - Tuesdays at 19:30-21:30 and Sundays at 10:30-12:30 - If you are interested in attending a rehearsal or would like to become involved with the Band, please contact on the above numbers. To develop new talent, the Band has set up a training scheme for young and inexperienced players and tuition is given by members of the Senior Band. Their ages range from 7 to retirement, and experience from 2 years to complete beginners. Training Band meet in the Bandroom at the Thorngate Halls, Bury Road, Gosport on Sunday between 9:15am and 10:15am
The U3A has been going for well over 20 years, this being the groups 20th anniversary. It has grown from a few members to over 380 of very active and lively members.
The members have every opportunity to try their hands at all sorts of things they are interested in together with like minded people. We have over 50 groups including, Art Appreciation, Canasta, Comparative religion, craft, comparative religions, Folk music, German, French, Needlework, Painting, Scrabble, Poetry, Quiz Group, Tai Chi, and Theatre. And there is always the opportunity to start a completely new group.
It is always a way of meeting new people and for making sure that there are no lonely folks in the vicinity of Gosport and Lee on the Solent. All you need to be is retired or semi-retired and be keen to meet other folks who wish to join.
Once a month on a Wednesday morning we have a general meeting where all the groups can attend and listen to a new speaker on a topic of some interest.

Radio Haslar is a charity organisation that broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to the patients and staff at the Gosport War Memorial Hospital and can now be heard online at www.radiohaslar.co.uk. Radio Haslar's studios are located on the first floor of Bury House but the organisation retains the name 'Haslar' because of its links to that area of Gosport, the former hospital and the good reputation associated with all that is Haslar. We are a small friendly group of mixed ages and mixed ability that meets in the White Room at Thorngate Hall every Wednesday afternoon (1:30 – 3:30) to enjoy a couple of hours painting and drawing in each other's company. We are all open to receive and to give advice (if requested!) and to chat over some refreshments during the session.
